Sky Beach Club, Astana

3.1
#3 of 34 in Fun & Games in Kazakhstan
Swim on the top of a shopping mall at Sky Beach Club, a top-floor indoor beach with pools, water tubes, and palm trees in a downtown setting. The tropical beach features sand brought from the Maldives covered by a huge, transparent plastic semi-cylinder on the top of a giant neo-futurist tent-shaped building in the city square. Order food and watch the panorama of the city. Visit during the week for the best deals; the place gets crowded on weekends and the price goes up as well. Put Sky Beach Club into our Astana travel itinerary planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

Very very expensive. Slides only two and those are mostly just for kids. The water in the basin is heavily chlorinated. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Doing practically nothing.

Nice place where to cool down, especially as we been in Astana in summer and with 30+ degrees and no sea that was a little oasis, the only downside is the water sliders are a bit old and I’ve got sign...  more »

This place is great. It is nice to experience summer hotness again in the middle of cold autumn in Astana. The facilities are new and the staff is polite. There are two waterslides there. I tried both they are good but they are more suitable for children not for adults. The back lites of Khan Shatyr look amazing in the evening. I certainly recommend this placer entertainment

The beach itself is not bad, but really all bad security. That roller coaster that on the waves. At the bar, lots of long service in the Sunday, we served, chams were carrying a pizza, then three minutes +10 lemonade and one spaghetti. Moreover, complained all customers are with us.

For completeness of impressions suggest coming here in winter, when the street -25 and +25 on the beach. Weekdays are cheaper, keep in mind. There are lockers provide towels. Relatively good slides, but after a couple of descents annoy. Do not take food and drinks-prices are terrible, even by astaninskim standards (with her, of course, will not be allowed). Again, the whole point of this place is manifested in winter, in summer it is better to relax outdoors.

A great place to relax. Both odinochistve and family. Water slides, 3 swimming pools, a sand heat under the Sun. A children's pool.

Where to stay in Astana

With the rush of building going on in Astana, the capital city adds more and more accommodations to its urban area each year. Like most planned cities, the development has started from the center and fanned out, latching onto parks and crossroads to make new commercial, business, and entertainment districts. Some sky-high hotels offer all available luxuries and impressive views across the downtown area, while some more humble hotels serve as pleasant but basic options. Hostels with shared rooms, kitchens, and bathrooms sit on the less decorated side streets of the central district.
