Founded in 1976 to house the Kazakh state gallery and a museum of decorative art, the institution was renamed in the 1980s in honor of the country's first professional artist, Abylkhan Kasteyev. Today, the museum boasts over 23,000 pieces of Western European, Russian, and East Asian art.   • If you ignore the very simple hanging and sparse lighting concept there is a lot of local culture to be discovered. The craft area displaying nomadic heritage is the more enjoyable part. There is a ca...  more »
  • 300 KZT degree entry. Exhibits are mostly in Russia, there are English. Photo is taken. Mainly have to display contemporary Kazakhstan artists ' works, but also interesting works of art. Like a Museum of the former Soviet Union, each room sits firmly watch Lady. Exhibits to see and whether more visitors if you would be more careful commentary? Walk Southeast Metro at Baikonur where 7-degree or Museum in the streets just north of available buses such as 121.
