It is understandable that many Botanic Gardens may resemble others. and this perhaps as a whole is not significantly different from their brethren. But this place is worth a visit and you won't regret the time spent. Japanese garden is probably the main Pearl and is really very beautiful. Rock Garden seems too deserves attention, but how to get inside the fence-remains a mystery. The Orangery is large, but again only works on certain days of the week, and then when we were (working on schedule day) it was closed and not had any information what and why. For the remaining territories of the garden of course you should also take a stroll in good weather (we are very unlucky).

Visit city Botanical Garden produced sad impression, huge green oasis in the heart of the city is located in the poverty-stricken and desolate, except for a small corner at the entrance, a pair of Central avenues and greenhouses (weekends not working!). Everything else is a huge area, overgrown with tall grass, dense thickets of trees and shrubs, sometimes really impenetrable affect consciousness and produce a depressing impression. In the sad state of the century survive, previously awarded unique area with many rare varieties of LILACS! For valuable species surviving trees, spruces, pines and other fruit, berry bushes, you can imagine the magnitude and significance of the botanical gardens in ancient times when it really represented the visitors ' gaze results accomplishments in crop and acquainted with the flora of our region! Today this loudly called a "Botanical Garden" is in need of financial investments and economic improvement and, only in this case, a huge Garden Park territory could regain the former glory of the city Botanic Gardens-become a favorite spot for city residents and guests of the city, could become a real landmark, not to mention that could serve the country's development of science and education of the younger generation!

The entrance fee is very low (approx. 1 euro p.p.) but that is also reflected in the park. The first Garden (japanese garden) is very nice and bodes well for the rest of the park. Unfortunately the rest not built/maintained so you actually pretty aimlessly. Most planters along the streets in Almaty are more beautiful than the botincal garden (m.u.v. the japanese garden).
