Centering around a dramatic monument, Park Named After Panfilov’s 28 Guardsmen commemorates an infantry unit of 28 soldiers who bravely fought the Nazis near Moscow during World War II. Lead by Ivan Panfilov, the guardsmen from all 15 Soviet republics significantly delayed the advance of German soldiers and tanks, despite a high number of casualties. Notice the black monument's eternal flame, burning for the fallen troops of both the Russian Civil War and the Great Patriotic War. Relax on the benches and enjoy the park's verdant ambience. Nearby attractions include a museum of musical instruments and a cathedral made entirely of wood. • Memorial, commemorate the Panfilov heroes Memorial General proceeded to Moscow defense under Soviet occupation was made. Stone carved with the name of the Soviet hero cities (in Murmansk and Novorossiisk, the German-Soviet war became the stage of the Soviet Union military victory) in front of the monument and spectacular show. Cadet graduates of military salute in front of a monument to the Kazakh military Cadet graduation ceremony is the day I visited and was impressed. I feel and have become the most important place for Kazakhstan citizens.

  • This is a huge and a beautiful park. Being there a couple of times as a visitor, and I always enjoy the atmosphere. Very friendly, and secure.
  • This monument is definitely worth a visit. It offers a very large and dramatic tribute to the 28 Kazakh soldiers led by General Panfilox who died defending Moscow during WWII.
  • Although really nice park as a concept the lower part of it nearing Gogol St is normally full of drunks and unpleasant people. Watch out for your pockets.
  • Clean and quiet place when you can read a book or walk near the nature.
  • Best park in Almaty
  • The best park in Kazakhstan!
  • Nice park!
