  • Beautiful views from the cable, and climbing to the top, even breathtaking, all Almaty, at a glance. Here is a nice walk and after go to the Abai and restaurant here to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of warmth and coziness. The stunning national Kazakh cuisine, delicious food and drinks. Kok-Tobe can be reached by bus or by car. For children there is a Petting Zoo.

  • Excellent views and several restaurants at the top. This is a must see if you are in Almaty. Great place for families and especially children.
  • Very nice restaurant with great views and good food. Nicely decorated and has a nice live folklore music.
  • It's a very nice place to relax.
  • Kok Tobe, Almaty. Its definitely worth it taking the cable car located nearby the metro station Abay to Kok Tobe. On a beautiful day you can get different views, walk around the park there, ride with the Ferries wheel, children can play on different small attractions and finally you can have a treat in the restaurant there. A ride uphill and back for a single person was 2000.- Tenge today.
  • Possibly the most touristy/tacky attraction in Almaty... The view of the city is pretty nice but the view of the mountains is somewhat obstructed. If you had time to see some proper natural scenery outside of Almaty then this is really nothing mindblowing. There are some activities for children (only if the weather is good), some typical souvenir stalls, limited dining options and a small zoo/farm housing some very miserable birds and animals - I'm surprised large animals like red deers, ostriches and lamas and are allowed to live in such small spaces?! As of Oct 2016 the cable car ride costs 2000 tenge return. It's approx 10mins one way.
