Wadi al-Mujib, Jordan
(4.6/5 based on 190+ reviews on the web)
Cool off on a fun water hike through Wadi al-Mujib, a diverse nature reserve surrounding the eponymous river that flows into the Dead Sea. The relaxing river hike--which you can take without a guide--is popular in the summer as a way to escape the scorching heat. However, other trails in the reserve do require a guide. You’ll receive a life jacket from the park authorities, and, depending on the water levels, crossing the canyon from the Dead Sea to the waterfall might require swimming and climbing a variety of obstacles. The park prohibitis minors from hiking the canyon trail. Wadi al-Mujib is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our online itinerary creator, Dead Sea Region Edition.
