  • Walking and once passed the Treasury, will reach the street of facades, formed by rows of Nabatean tombs of unimaginable and intricate sculptures. When you are facing the (apparently Roman) Theatre, you must know that it was built by the Nabataeans in the s-I after Christ, it is clear that it is a true reflection of the Roman influence that extended over the Middle East. This excavated in the rock, and initially had a capacity of 3,000 people, but later expanded to the 7,000. Stop you in it and evaluate the merit of its construction.

  • Next to the theatre, as well as al Khazneh, on the left wall of the outer Siq, are carved into the rock pink over forty tombs and dwellings. The route continues towards the old town. On the walls are the remains of an aqueduct, with several clay pipes. There are numerous facilities in various architectural styles that indicate how the Nabataeans were very open to influences from different cultures. All of these graves are connected to each other, giving the impression of streets bounded by the facades of buildings, hence the name. Impressive.

  • The street is there and runs, but there is to look at them. All Petra is worthwhile. Not all is the treasure or the tombs real, are very deteriorated in general but gives idea of the magnificence of Petra
