Upon arrival, you'll find hundreds of surviving tombs carved in relief out of the rock, as well as a Roman-style amphitheater, a Nabataean monastery, and an intricately detailed treasury. • 200 km / 3 hours from Amman, capital of Jordan, this PETRA, wonder of humanity. It will come across a Gorge called the Sik, of more than one mile, walking or horse-drawn carriage. The colors of the sand or stone limestone without amazing, to time very narrow and deep. Suddenly appears to treasure or main building of Petra. Impressive! See her personally is worth the long journey. Can travel them multiple tombs that make up this set of facades of palaces, carved in the sand or stone limestone of different tones reddish. It can be many hours or more one day. Sold water and drinks. Bring some water and picnic. There to climb many steps made to climb the Hill and appreciate in its entirety, requires physical fitness and health, you can also climb on donkey or mule, or you can just walk it more easy... enjoy it equally. Highly recommended. Jordan is a small country, peaceful, safe, civilized and modern at the same time, Muslim moderate, open to the few tourists today. Go, don't be regret.

  • This is one of the reasons to go to Jordan. What a special place. The gap, the monuments. And it turns out that they still find all kinds of excavations. We have that day in Petra 8 km run. If you don't want to then you can on horseback, in a horse-drawn carriage, on a camel or on a donkey by Petra.
