(4.7/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
The vast expanse of Wadi Araba Desert--a part of the Great Rift Valley that stretches from Aqaba to the Dead Sea--features a pristine semi-arid and sandy landscape. A number of tourist agencies in Aqaba offer tours of the desert, which you can brave on foot, in a jeep, or even on the back of a horse or camel. Enjoy the tranquility of the remote uninhabited desert while you roam among sand dunes and interesting rock formations. Most of the guided tours offer a chance to camp out in the desert overnight and visit a Bedouin camp. Put Wadi Araba Desert into our Aqaba vacation trip planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • Perhaps that really is worth a look, an interesting trip, where you can make hundreds of beautiful photos. We took the tour, rode a jeep (the only thing that was not pleasant-jeeps we had open, sand rose almost a meter) so my black pants by the end of the trip turned into Brown. In the desert the cold, wind-breaker will not save, without irony or Sheepskin Shuba need. even at times and wind. But worth a visit once)
