Where to stay in Aqaba

Aqaba has a smattering of luxury hotels and a few classy chains, while a range of budget accommodations suitable for diving-oriented vacations cluster along the northern side of the city. Family-oriented mid-range hotels are grouped close to the marina. The resort makes a popular spot for Jordanians and Gulf tourists from October through March. During summer season (June-September), especially on weekends and public holidays, it is advisable to book in advance.

  • Ideal place to chill out if you are staying in a hotel in the city centre. Free shuttle bus provided to Aqaba centre (about 10 min drive away). Great snorkeling from the pier. Nice cocktails but food ...  more »
  • It's a great spot to swim for foreigners as the beach is private. Most of the locals that pay for a day pass stay around the pool. The beach area is usually calm and empty and it is not uncomfortable ...  more »

  • This is definitely a good spot for tourist to get their foot on the red sea. The corals are right there in shallow waters, although the better sites are slightly further north, but you can definitely swim there from the beach club. It definitely does look like a club, with multiple levels of swimming pools before you get to the beach area. No lockers, or at least, no locking lockers. Yes to showers and they provide a big towel with your entrance fee. Somewhat small parking lot, but you can park on the streets.
  • Almost perfect place for comfortable and safe diving. Staff is just perfect, equipment is new and not beaten up. Kitchen is rather slow, but not slower then in Jordan in general. Truly enjoyed the place.
  • Very clean, pleasant helpful staff, well priced entry (10JD), decent food and drink selection at reasonable prices. Clean pools. Can't vouch for the activities offered via the Sinbad activities centre but there seemed to be plenty of people doing diving and boat trips with them and enjoying it.
  • Great beach club with good services and at a decent fee! Defo recommend
  • Reasonable entrance fees. Western friendly. Lots of water activities available and good food.
