Yufudake, Yufu

4.1
#2 of 7 in Parks in Yufu
Mountain Nature / Park
Yufudake rewards hikers with panoramic views from either of its dual peaks. A stratovolcano, the 1,583.3 m (5,195 ft) mountain has clearly marked trails to each of its peaks, with one rising 1 m (3.2 ft) higher than the other. Both peaks can be conquered in a single trip, but one is a little trickier to tackle, requiring some climbing using the provided chains. Be sure to pack plenty of snacks and water, wear sturdy hiking boots, and check in on the town's information center for a free mountain trail map. Don't forget your camera to capture the views from the summit. Make Yufudake part of your personalized Yufu itinerary using our Yufu holiday planner.

Where to stay in Yufu

Given that tourism in Yufu centers around its onsens, or mineral hot springs, it's no wonder that many of the lodgings in the area boast their own private bathhouses in addition to the many others in town. You can choose from a number of hotels and a wide variety of traditional Japanese ryokans, where you can sleep on futons on the floor. The accommodations mostly lie scattered around the village, leaving the main street filled with shops, cafes, and restaurants.

  • In the yufuin is one of the few visits it is hot water. Most ryokan is, is also accepted in the evening, have quit, but here open until quite late. All the family bath is a bath is 4, in five spacious enough and a cute bath. I think speaking only one drawback, the hot water is kind of warm. One hour of 2000 yen as the family bathroom, reasonably priced is recommended.

  • Number in the whole country celebrates the most popular among Springs, yufuin hot spring. Wrapped at the foot of Mt. yufudake, discharge in Japan number # 3, withholding is ranked second nationally. Characterized by the elegant, stylish cafes and restaurants lined up. Also, until the stop springs from high class ryokan can be used freely also abundantly. Also when you visit the crowded with many tourists.

Warm bath also. There were withholding temperature 47 degrees. I'd wish you enter do not add water just a good idea.
