Feed koi carp from the traditional Japanese bridge at Uesugi Jinja Shrine, dedicated to the war god Uesugi Kenshin, one of the most popular warriors of the "warring states" period. Sometimes referred to as "Samurai Village," you can view a treasure trove of artifacts and mementos including armors, swords, paintings, and Buddhist calligraphy works. The surrounding grounds provide a great place for a picturesque and peaceful stroll, with grand trees delivering profuse blossoms in April, and changing spectacularly in October, providing excellent photo opportunities. • Articles about historical figures, such as Uesugi Kagekatsu and naoe kanetsugu, Uesugi yozan and is next to the Museum are worth seeing along with the shrine. I think I thought to visit the looking at the leaves in late autumn.

  • I might enjoy in its own way so if you are interested in the historical shrine to me history especially those unfamiliar in the impression that small shrine just a little walk visits, would end a very. Compared with Meiji-Jingu, Atsuta-jingu Shrine and Ise Jingu Shrine I visited tourist destination and is hard to say. I'd better try doing is coming very slowly in this area with the land simply because of this shrine is personally is not recommended in the absence of strong interest.

  • Stamp for you to visit. To be completely clean around the Museum were built. Overcast skies. Yonezawa is awfully cold.
