  • The most interesting part is that visitors are allowed to draw from cocoons and operate on an old sewing machine. The staff are happy to assist and explain in simple English.  more »

  • It is a Museum of Yokohama port, had silk trade. Who knows because Yokohama is that there are plenty of attractions, the Museum does not is PR so much less. I think I looked once at history of silk and clothing exhibited since.

  • It is an interesting place. You can get to know almost everything about silk (even see all those silkworms). Beauliful kimonos are on the second floor. There's a nice shop with silk things and illustrated books about Japanese clothes. I bought one and got a lovely sweet gift=)
  • Appearance does not change from the age of the Showa era I grew up. Just like a Oh, Meiji era? Old, when is the guests can experience the taste of Yokohama opened at that time.
