Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, Yokohama

Categories: Scenic Walking Areas, Landmarks, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
3.8/5 based on 1,400+ reviews on the web
Formerly an important staging and customs area for the city's busy port, Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse now contains restaurants, shops, galleries, and more within its sturdy walls. This pair of buildings stands out from much of the city's architecture, as the signature red bricks do not feature prominently in historic Japanese construction. Explore the shopping mall within, lined with hardwood flooring, to browse an array of quirky shops selling everything from handmade jewelry to warehouse-themed souvenirs. You can also find a few relatively big-name international brands here. Grab a bite to eat at the food court, which features a range of non-local cuisines and concepts, or head out to the waterfront to enjoy the view over the harbor. • Feel history pretty closely and seen from a distance as such atmosphere there, but is just warehouses. When lit up at night, it seems clean. And in a nice shop, upmarket stationery shops, was thumped, increases in shopping bags.

  • 剛好去的時候是橫濱的啤酒節,啤酒節的熱鬧氣氛配上紅磚倉庫更添異國風味,讓人置身在比利時的錯覺,傍晚海濱漁船及郵輪來去燈光閃爍更是美麗
  • It is beautiful and looks so good how to light up at night. So until 12 o'clock on weekends night and decent people are also suitable for walking.

  • I'm not a huge fan of the particular shopping offered in the Red Brick Warehouses, but the area is beautiful on a cool, sunny day and perfect for a walk. On the weekends, at least, there are stands outside where you can buy some food/beer. I suggest starting here and following the coast until about China Town. It's a nice walk and ending in China Town is perfect, because who doesn't love Chinese food?
  • Venture beyond the shopping floors and you'll discover a surprising amount of shared history with Europe in certain artefacts. A fascinating building to spend an hour or two in, and I recommend the Granny Smith cafe for apple pie.
  • Mall located in old red brick docks (I guess). Very clean and nice, selling quite high-end housewares and furniture, organic stuff, toys, jewelry, etc. Third floor is restaurants, and there is a balcony all along the building that offers a nice view on the small park nearby and the sea. Overall an old-industrial looking place with open feeling, a little crowded and narrow inside, but still nice to stroll for one hour.
  • Very romantic place especially at night. The night view is pretty. Your partner will be impressed. The shopping mall inside is also nice
  • If your planning Yokohama, this spot is a must. In and outside. From here walk tot the roof of the cruise terminal (nice views) . And then onward to Chinatown ..
