Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, Yokohama

3.8
Formerly an important staging and customs area for the city's busy port, Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse now contains restaurants, shops, galleries, and more within its sturdy walls. This pair of buildings stands out from much of the city's architecture, as the signature red bricks do not feature prominently in historic Japanese construction. Explore the shopping mall within, lined with hardwood flooring, to browse an array of quirky shops selling everything from handmade jewelry to warehouse-themed souvenirs. You can also find a few relatively big-name international brands here. Grab a bite to eat at the food court, which features a range of non-local cuisines and concepts, or head out to the waterfront to enjoy the view over the harbor. • On Sunday I went to the Christmas market and pecking. The Mall is bigger than you think. Having historical story called Lenka aka warehouse famous, I guess. Coming up here and for visitors to peer osanbashi if such a place does not need to be a great experience, largely on its own expectations as there seems to be a keep.

  • A large brick house that houses many shops and eateries in there. Best time to go is during Christmas as decorations are magnificent. Surrounded by water. Hard to find parking is the only drawback. Inside looks way better than the outside. Consists of 2 buildings.
  • This is one of big tourist destination in Yokohama. Good for shopping, sightseeing and photo shoots. They offer all kinds of events throughout the year and won't bored you if you be there on right time. If it rains, there is big shopping mall close by and sunny day can be perfect for boat cruise. Whether you are alone, with couple, or family this place got a lot to offer.
  • Love the red colours big building and the surrounding. Many restaurant offer variety of food. I once buy matcha ice cream and some souvenirs from the stores inside the building
  • Went there for the Oktoberfest. Nice atmosphere. Good views with lots of open space. Quite a few spots to photograph Yokohama's skyline.
  • Was there when a German beer fest happened! To renew an old warehouse space to cultural center is really cool! Definitely a must go whenever you visit Yokohama
