Yokohama Landmark Tower, Yokohama

4.2
Take the lightning-fast elevator up Yokohama Landmark Tower, one of Japan's tallest buildings. You'll ascend at a speed of 12.5 m/s (41 ft/s) to the 69th floor of this 296.3 m (972 ft) high-rise. From there, access the observatory, which enables a 360-degree view of the city and--on a clear day--Mount Fuji. The vast architectural marvel also contains a five-star hotel, shops, restaurants, clinics, and offices. Bear in mind that seismic activity occurs regularly in Japan, but don't worry, since the building contains two tuned mass dampers to counter the quakes. A visit to Yokohama Landmark Tower represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Yokohama road trip planner to plot your vacation.

  • Great views, North, South, East and West of the city. Can even see mount Fuji. Look for the sign on entry to tell you whether it's visible or not. Can buy drinks for 150 Yen from vending machine. Also small gift shop. Definitely worth doing in Yokohama.
  • Luxury hotel which occupies the upper part of the 70-story high-rise building "Yokohama Landmark Tower". Every corner of care and ample luxurious facilities create the best relaxation, with a spectacular view overlooking Yokohama City and Mt. Fuji, a wonderful and unforgettable stay is guaranteed. The hotel combining fulfilling conference facilities and Human Touch hospitality is a world class hotel suitable for "future city".
  • It is really huge and towers over everything. The shopping mall attached to it is quite nice with interesting shops and many nice restaurants (even in the "basement". It has easy access to the subway.
  • Great 360 degree view of Yokohama. On clear skies Fuji san (Mt. Fuji) is visible.
  • Nice place to hang out. Lots of shopping and a nice view from the top.
