Yokohama Landmark Tower, Yokohama

(4.2/5 based on 500+ reviews on the web)
Take the lightning-fast elevator up Yokohama Landmark Tower, one of Japan's tallest buildings. You'll ascend at a speed of 12.5 m/s (41 ft/s) to the 69th floor of this 296.3 m (972 ft) high-rise. From there, access the observatory, which enables a 360-degree view of the city and--on a clear day--Mount Fuji. The vast architectural marvel also contains a five-star hotel, shops, restaurants, clinics, and offices. Bear in mind that seismic activity occurs regularly in Japan, but don't worry, since the building contains two tuned mass dampers to counter the quakes. • All regarded as we would say here you can't just strip. In addition both gourmet and shopping. Crowded corridors are wide so not care so much.

  • First, you have a lot of shops, expensive shops. Plenty on restaurants. But the place to be is the Park Hotel and especially the 70th floor bar.
  • Pay 1000 yen per person. Go up and enjoy the view for a few minutes. Come back down. Is not that interesting unless you really like views.

  • Been here in 2000 and since then they've added a lot of things like the shopping mall and the great park around it. An iconic tower for Yokohama. The elevator is really fast and the view is beautiful.
  • The landmark Plaza has a variety of stores, shops and the sky garden observatory on the 69th floor. It's got a nice classy feeling for a mall and the observatory is a must see. It gives a phenomenal view of the Cosmo land Ferris wheel and the docks down below. The night time view is mind blowing.
  • The sky garden is about money making and not designed to be enjoyed. They play loud pop music and there are no seats. It's not a garden its an indoor lobby type thing with a bar where there are big seat taking up a whole side of the view but you can't sit in them unless you buy expensive bar food. There are viewing binoculars, but you have to pay extra, considering its already 1000yen its quite cheeky. Go to the mori tower in Tokyo if you want a good view with a bit of class
  • Inexpensive with a very good view all the way to Tokyo. I visited at night, and the view was extremely memorable. Although I believe there would be much more to see during the day. I'll be back!
  • Office building, shopping center and hotel with many restaurants. The best part is observation deck and amazing view on Tokyo Bay and Yokohama. Top floor restaurants are very nice, good food and kind staff.
