Yokohama Landmark Tower, Yokohama

4.1
Take the lightning-fast elevator up Yokohama Landmark Tower, one of Japan's tallest buildings. You'll ascend at a speed of 12.5 m/s (41 ft/s) to the 69th floor of this 296.3 m (972 ft) high-rise. From there, access the observatory, which enables a 360-degree view of the city and--on a clear day--Mount Fuji. The vast architectural marvel also contains a five-star hotel, shops, restaurants, clinics, and offices. Bear in mind that seismic activity occurs regularly in Japan, but don't worry, since the building contains two tuned mass dampers to counter the quakes. A visit to Yokohama Landmark Tower represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Yokohama road trip planner to plot your vacation.

  • It seems to be the fastest elevator in Japan. The sweat charge which became a pain in the ear to go up and fall is 1000 yen. If you like high places, why not?

  • Anyway, it's great. As the name suggests, it is a landmark in the Minato Mirai district. There are a lot of shops, but the view of the night is still recommended.

  • There are a variety of restaurants, shops and hotels, so i always use them when I go to Minato Mirai to play. The underground parking lot was widely lost in the parking lot. It might be a good idea to keep the parking number in check.

  • The mall is huge and multi-level. They have a 5 star hotel here but we only got to visit the 360 degree viewing deck. The elevator, one of the fastest in the world was a short but nice experience! We get to buy some souvenirs and the staff are all friendly. Trip to Japan should always include this place and the city of Yokohama. Great people, lots of fun things to do and great food!
  • Wonderful views. You can even see Mount Fuji if the weather is good. The only problem is that you cannot pay for the entrance with a card, only cash is accepted. A very fast elevator
  • You have to go to 3F to get your tickets before taking the escalator to 69F. Tickets cost 1000 yen which I would recommend going if the weather is clear, and about evening time so you can see the skyline of the entire Yokohama. There are some sovenuirs shops and bars on the same floor but nothing too special to call out.
  • Great views. Has the Royal Hotel on higher floors with modem and comfortable rooms and great views. The attached shopping mall has a great variety of shops, supermarket and handy walkway to get to the train Station
  • Definitely one of the best and highest hotels I have stayed in. Such clean room and good size too. Can't beet the sincere hospitality. I want to go back soon.
