Marine Tower, Yokohama

3.9
Marine Tower offers panoramic views of the bay, Mount Fuji, and other city landmarks from its top floors. Built in 1961 for the centennial of the port's opening, the tower was restored and reopened in 2009. The higher observation deck sits at the height of 106 m (348 ft), providing arguably the best views on sunny days and before sunset. If you feel like grabbing a bite to eat, visit the fourth-floor restaurant. • After a healthy walk to Yamashita Park we went at the Marine Tower. The Yokohama Marine Tower is a 106 metre high metal construction with an observation station at the height of 91 meters, accessible by elevator. The Tower, which opened in 1961, is considered the highest lighthouse in the world. Observation plan in addition to enjoy 360° view on the town and the port, in the days of clear sky you can admire the outline of Mount Fuji. At the entrance of the Tower there is a souvenir shop and a coffee bar.

  • Not so much height, but Yokohama can feel the femininity. We have surprisingly not crowded up there, so enjoy.

  • In the old days was painted white with red (orennjipoi), but the color right now is feeling sorry. That seems to be marine. You can see the collage Yamashita's great Hall on the first floor. To see a free area, so take a look at!

  • Im so proud and happy to visit this tower you can see all building on the top.my son in- law propose to my daughter on top of this tower
  • A great view, assuming it's a clear day and your vision is not itself limited.
  • Little expensive. You have other options for free near by. Go to metropolis building it is free and almost equal good view
  • The observation deck is not very high but offers a good view of the city. There are 2 floors, but they don't differ very much. There is no infrastructure such as restrooms or cafes on the observation deck itself, so you just come to have a look at the city and make some photos. However, on the lower floors there are nice restaurants and a souvenir shop. We visited in summer and the air conditioning was too strong, I felt cold.
  • It's a "must do" for any visitor. Stunning views.
