Historic Site Religious Site
Inspect the intricately decorated facade of Kanteibyo (Kuan Ti Miao Temple), a Chinese place of worship. Located in the city's Chinatown, the 19th-century temple enshrines a scripture of 3rd-century general Guan Gong, brought by a Chinese immigrant. Upon entering you'll receive five incense sticks, used to pray to the temple's gods--friendly volunteers on hand can explain the proper way to do this. Note that photography is forbidden within the temple. See Kanteibyo (Kuan Ti Miao Temple) and all Yokohama has to offer by arranging your trip with our Yokohama trip builder.
