This bridge was still? And feel as is the shocking and mysterious bridge. To be seen in the scene where has appeared as a location in many TV dramas and movies, so no difference, but in fact, their bridge to witness and was shocking so fast moving. It was a normal bicycle as often, this wooden bridge is now also important arteries and a strange feeling. Through bridge was swept over and over again because of the Kizu River in heavy rain and Typhoon rising has risen and is named "bridge," and that was characteristic.

And 1 hour away from Yawata station, ask at the tourist offices of the station and bus, but very much me. Went with tourist office rental. I get there in 20 minutes, on the banks of the River are pedestrian and bike paths, but it was hard. I do not know, filming period dramas so often used, but holding hands with wire and vertical pile of the bridge deck is made of steel, from little often. I think even the lights kill time go by bus from the complex's restaurants that Shiki Sai kan, fresh from the farm stand is located.

Near the bridge, strawberry went on a hunt, I stopped by on my way home. I was surprised how this bridge is located in this town. If the rural farmers. Just have a ranger who, variously explained. 4 years in a row during the terrible is shed by structure for this bridge was originally made of wood, Kizu to heavily swollen by heavy rain and washed. Only the wooden bridge into some parts, bound with wire, so also swept apart is not connected, it can be recovered. Recovery costs from 20 million took is 40 million yen during the terrible. Bridge by residents of the surrounding without detour far to the Kizu River Cross to made Kyoto Prefectural roads it seems. No wooden handrail width about 3 m Bridge is! It is amazing. I was reduced by a number of shed the inflated 70 cm bridge supports the Kyoto because it would flood damage after using taxes to recover as a result. And leisurely across the wooden bridge parapet traffic also feels good, so forget such nasty things. And is moving slowly across the river--but so is 10 minutes. Retro streets of the city are located around, so please go and see.
