  • There is a mountain-shaped city in the city park, but in this time of the winter, it is not open to see, so the park is no wild look, it can not li.

  • The walled moat Castle from Yamagata station 5 minutes walk in the snow gently stand frozen, not even birds. Circles can be walking in the Castle, 30 minutes. Loophole to the Museum from the front gate. Local line runs under the bridge. Rebuilt School of medicine called saisei-Kan building is used as a Museum, but the sky is orange-colored wooden snow and beautiful. Cherry Blossom time seems to be more beautiful. Good proximity to wait at the station than the train transit time you can stroll suddenly.

  • Kajo Park is a park built on the ruins of Yamagata. Explore the ruins of a castle in a stadium, gymnasium, Museum to Museum. And built many buildings and ruins remaining situation was not as good. Fate of the Nara heijo-Kyo trail located in urban areas, although I felt sorry.

  • This place is so special. Not sure if it's worth it as a tourist destination. This park is a part of a lot of people's commute and walking here around sunset is an enjoyable way to experience a slice of local life. During the day there is a woman who practices flute by the castle. If you are there at the right season, you can observe some outrageous crow roosting behavior. During the summer they have "Radio Taiso" at 6:30AM throughout the park. I hear the cherry blossoms are stunning in the Spring! Oh, almost forgot to mention the beautifully creepy medical museum.
  • Every nearby museums and stores were close during new year (of course), but this castle gate still opened to let people walk through inside park with man-on-the-horse statue. Even there was no any other beautiful castle of building (except the old nearby tower-like museum, but it was close also), the view of completely white snow field with many dry big sakura tree was so serene and relax for me, especially the old black white stray cat of the park who liked to sunbath and dressing itself on the park bench, and very friendly to people. She let me played with her all the time, even I left, she still followed (and when other people came, she followed and requested them to cuddle too) So cute!
  • Good family outing
  • Quiet and clean park!
  • A nice park especially in cherry blossom season
