Cape Noshappu, Wakkanai
(3.1/5 based on 200 reviews on the web)
Enjoy delicious seafood and the attractive seascape at Cape Noshappu, with views of the islands of Rishiri and Rebun. As you walk along the coastline, keep your eyes out for spotted seals dozing on the coast. You can delve further into the marine life at the nearby aquarium, which hosts seals and many other animals from ocean's depths. Stop in one of the eateries for the chance to try fresh octopus, squid, flounder, and Hokkaido's most famous sea urchin bowl. Note that sunsets are particularly dramatic here, with ribbons of vibrant color stretched across the horizon.
