Porto Europe, Wakayama

#4 of 89 in Sightseeing in Wakayama
Theme Park Water / Amusement Park
Built in the style of various medieval European townships, Porto Europe represents a full-scale reimagining of an Italian fishing village, a French town, and a historic Spanish castle. Along with amusements and rides, the park also boasts accomodations and restraunts. Fresh seafood is top of the menu here, thanks to the rich bounty brought in by the world's strongest ocean current, which flows by the tip of the region. The onsite fish market stocks a huge variety of seafood, with live shows of tuna preparation to observe, and barbeque dishes to sample. • We went with some anticipation as we saw the pictures online. However, the place seemed a little run down and in need of a round of fresh paint. The nearby kuroshio market seemed to be a better place ...  more »

  • no recquired entrance fee. its not that crowded compared to USJ so i enjoyed my time here lots of beautiful stuff and you can see dolphins when you cross the bridge
  • Very nice place - it is like piece of Europe in Japan. You can do some shopping, touch dolphin as well as see Tuna filleting show (around three times a day). It is surrounded by white sand beaches, also there is a scene with live music played often..
  • Admission is free and more accessible. Would be a fun place for elementary school children. Buy a pass like will take the defeat and immediately get original. And next to the market, bought souvenirs, such as seafood, plum or citrus fruit on the way back home!

  • Not too crowded, so in a free pass to unlimited. Muryo will eat at the market are so easy to play and. Non-action stage where you can enjoy l Rausch is surprisingly adult quality. Off the beaten path!

  • It is nice since the parking lot is large. I'd bought a pass so high a set price for each vehicle is free of charge and rides nice. Say, eat, and Kuroshio market right next to and in the play one day and blew it.
