  • We came across this while driving around Ikei island. It was a very neat little place. The grass was very tall with no real paths so it is a mosquito haven, but a great spot to hit on a day trip.  more »
  • Many times in the past, I visited Ikei Island but, never spotted this site. Thanks to new signs posted, for tourists, this place was discovered by a friend and I out looking for "Off the beaten path" ...  more »
  • Sea Road, on ikei island at the end of this pit-dwelling is a great discovery. Seems Yayoi period Kaizuka age dwellings from the end of the Jōmon period, but was restored to good and interesting. At the same time became well known because a few months ago, U.S. Army helicopter crash-landed near farm road.
