#1 of 26 in Things to do in Uruma
Head up the limestone hills to admire the design and history of Katsuren Castle Ruins, part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built around the turn of the 14th century CE, the castle had what has often been called its "golden age" during the middle of the 15th century, when it was ruled by Lord Amawari, a leader who had risen from poverty and adversity to a position of great power. Learn about the history of the site from a number of panels dotted around the ruins, and take a few moments to admire the extensive coastal views offered from this point, 98 m (322 ft) above sea level. One of the most beautiful visits to Okinawa for the 360 degree view of the peninsula and the richness of the explanations on the panels along the way. Festivities are expected to end of August.

Katsuren Castle is located on a hill, the further a walled staircase is a nice gradient. I wrote to sweat. Castles of Okinawa feel walled castle is Castle located on a hill overlooking the under. Summit was not is a 360-degree view. It is a pity because it appeared sea road, unfortunately the weather was not good. Parked in a parking lot, walk the path leads up the Hill. Also the toilet. Lunch was a little eat in the car, took a break. There were people eating on the bench with the roof in the parking lot. It seemed to be a foreign people. I guess looks very beautiful scenery and good weather to go.
