  • This mall is fantastic. Located just off the Maihama train station, it's the doorway to Tokyo Disney Resort and Disney Sea via monorail. On its own, Ikspiari has a surprise presence of international brand stores (Gap, L'occitane, Max Brenner, Starbucks, Disney to name a few) alongside upscale Japanese brands. As an English only speaker, this place is navigable - most maps are in Japanese but a few scattered around have English. Be warned however that most clothing and shoe stores don't carry international sizings (size us 7 ladies was the largest shoe option out of multiple stores) and the retail is definitely higher here than what you'd find in a non-destination shopping plaza. That said the decor, atmosphere and family friendly events (open air concerts, music guests, seasonal programs) help ease the sticker shock to an extent. The cinema carries English releases (clearly labeled on the small marquee by stickers claiming dubbed or subtitled). For dining there are a few 'western' choices and while the staff of most don't seem as English-speaking as say Disney's parks , you can certainly get by. Try the rainforest Cafe for an immersive themed dining experience complete with Animatronic wildlife, gigantic aquariums and simulated tropical rains - very child friendly with decent high chairs and plenty for an entire family (very tasty cocktails for tired moms and dads). Be prepared for long lines at the themed dining choices and bring your wallet - nothing here is inexpensive.
  • We love this place. Close to the station, TONS of food options at all price ranges, fun to walk around the shops. We visited Lush this time for a cool kids workshop (soap etching).
  • Beautifully styled shopping centre with mid to high-mid-range fashion retail and many dining options. The Mediterranean feel is gorgeous, and the outdoor areas come alive with lights at night. There are sometimes performances on the small outdoor stage.
  • Nice themed shopping mall. Avoid the parking right next to the JR station, it`s Valet only with a 500 Yen fee. Drive to Disney Ambassador Hotel for Parking.
  • I absolutely love this hopping centre. You can easily spend an entire day here, even two if you're not careful! Even if you're not enjoying the parks I'd recommend spending some time at Ikspiari!
