Mimurotoji Temple, Uji
(4.2/5 based on 160+ reviews on the web)
Also known as the "flower temple," Mimurotoji Temple prides itself on its vast, lush garden. Built on multiple tiers, the surrounding land blooms with hydrangeas, lotuses, and azaleas--and, in spring, weightless clouds of cherry blossoms. The graceful wooden temple dates back to the 19th century, constructed in the historical Edo style. Relax with a walk up the stone stairs that lead to the top of the complex, where you can admire it all from above. Bear in mind that you cannot bring food or drinks onto the temple grounds. • Was told the mimuro Temple is a famous Temple of flowers. Mimurodo station from a little distance. Arrived to talk with because it was sunny, but on rainy days the car is better. This is the autumn season. Moreover, it's late. So, walking slowly in a quiet and clean. Flower time equipped garden, so was keeping the beauty.

  • May be visited each year and will want to try out the new Uji tea. Called 6/10, a little late, but invites her daughter and tried out in the drive to Uji. From my wife kanbayashi, favorite tea purchased, so asked me to buy "bamboo white" head first. In Yamada after the byodo in bought a new tea last time "for tea" enough to "roasted" souvenirs at Spring Garden in Masuda committed not only very tasty "Matcha green tea soft serve ice cream"! On the mimuro Temple was referred by acquaintances from here in every course, but stopped for the first time. It was so mimurotoji a hydrangea was fine despite the midweek crowd. Today's Kyoto is very hot, and gave the mimuro Temple garden cafe ice, used the air conditioner of the car for the first time this year. Without going into the July seems bluish lotus flowers on behalf of the hydrangea.
