Mimurotoji Temple, Uji

(4.1/5 based on 160+ reviews on the web)
Also known as the "flower temple," Mimurotoji Temple prides itself on its vast, lush garden. Built on multiple tiers, the surrounding land blooms with hydrangeas, lotuses, and azaleas--and, in spring, weightless clouds of cherry blossoms. The graceful wooden temple dates back to the 19th century, constructed in the historical Edo style. Relax with a walk up the stone stairs that lead to the top of the complex, where you can admire it all from above. Bear in mind that you cannot bring food or drinks onto the temple grounds. • Is the attraction of hydrangeas also called "hydrangea Temple". Lots of colorful hydrangeas during the peak season in June. Be lighted up at night for a limited period of time, so unlike day, fantastic.

  • I would pick a time, fall foliage season and hydrangeas when crowded, so otherwise somewhat slowly, look around. Saigoku 33 pilgrimage by Mairi. (The male response was not very good.) served the shogunate.

  • Was told the mimuro Temple is a famous Temple of flowers. Mimurodo station from a little distance. Arrived to talk with because it was sunny, but on rainy days the car is better. This is the autumn season. Moreover, it's late. So, walking slowly in a quiet and clean. Flower time equipped garden, so was keeping the beauty.
