Uedajo Castle, Ueda

Castle Historic Walking Area
Head up to Uedajo Castle, a historic fort known for its impressively designed defenses.

Built in the second half of the 16th century as the home of the Sanada clan, the castle twice repelled attacks from the Tokugawa clan before the century was out. The second time around, only 2,500 warriors reportedly defended the stronghold against a force of 38,000. Admire the citadel's clever architectural design, with its deep moat and imposing stone base. While not much of the castle still stands, the site's history and surrounding scenery makes it well worth the visit. • It is said 打chi破rezu Ueda Tokugawa photographer teams that didn't make it to the battle of Sekigahara. And destroy the Castle from the Tokugawa family after Sekigahara, not extant Castle at that time. Now that is was rebuilt during the Edo period. You can take pictures and have them in front of the gate.

  • So as a historical stage funny interesting Castle is rarely. Anyway great Tokugawa forces repel 寡兵 two times since. Castle is not combat-capable type. Drama Sanada-Maru has ended without the Tower continued is love as a hot spot. Programmes in history with a stroll of Sanada-Maru of the Osaka Castle. Clapboard Watchtower is astringent, era is construction of Edo period while really at warring States period style is a nice touch.
