Kamo Aquarium, Tsuruoka
(4.1/5 based on 240+ reviews on the web)
Stocked by the daily catches made by intrepid staff, Kamo Aquarium boasts an enormously comprehensive collection of jellyfish. The aquarium's choice to diversify into displaying these otherworldly creatures saved it from hard times and has more than doubled its annual footfall--making it one of the most popular aquariums in the country. On the underground levels, observe over 35 species of the spectral jellyfish as they float illuminated in dark tanks. It's not all about the jellyfish though: you'll also see sharks, octopuses, and other marine creatures, as well as entertaining sea lions in their live show. Don't forget to pick up a jellyfish-related souvenir in the gift shop. Plan your visit to Kamo Aquarium and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Tsuruoka vacation generator.

  • Anyway was betrayed in a good way. Expect more impressive had cost more than satisfaction. Jellyfish exhibits are probably in Japan. Man-of-war stabbed in swimming in the past, painful memory but this is in the tank so get stung. Writing in Chinese characters and jellyfish. English and jellyfish is really fantastic. Jellyfish swim well and concerns related to their puny ones certainly a must. The spot form the jellyfish are interested in and have confidence. Instead, overall, jellyfish so swing parameters may other exhibits are so-so now. It is expected to.

  • The best jelly fish aquarium ever. You can even order ice cream with jelly fish flavor :) The shows are interesting and my kids liked it.
  • I highly recommend that you go first thing in the morning. It's also better to bring lunch with you. There aren't many places to eat nearby.
