  • From Tsuruoka station take a bus to the DEWA shrine. Friends just want to climb stairs in good luck, climbed. Took about 1 hour, but enjoyed the five-storied pagoda along the way and views. Shrine feels a profound sense of what a cool! Nokyo-sho! I recommend people walk by the way, the bus goes shrine is at the top of the.

  • Even though it's early December already deep snow, 3 5 minutes way from the parking lot is cold and froze. But thatched dignified appearance, history and beliefs of the people, and Hi-Fi to you and to future generations to preserve these things.

  • The thatched roof is impressive. The Scarlet temple is splendid. The guide explained the 4 seasonal tables inside the temple. The Lake of lotus in front of the temple is sublime

  • Fantastic to visit. Bit of effort to get too if you take into account trains buses and walking but it's well worth the effort in my mind. It was raining heavily day I came but still went all the same due to effort I put in to get here, the rain cleared and ended up being a beautiful walk all be it wet. Climb up is not step considering everything so not hard it however is a effort all the same. A little over 2000 steps isnt easy. You are able to catch a bus up and down but you miss 90% of the beauty that way also.

  • Just inside the gate, the long stairway. There's a silence world covered with MOSS. It is beautiful. It might be dangerous and bad legs. Slide well too, so watch out. I rented a wood cane in the Museum. Use toll roads if the car slowly climb from the bottom to the top here. There is a really splendid thatched shrine. Warrior priest in another hall dressed in white (Apprentice? ) Of people who had been trained. It is often very young women.
