With blasted rock everywhere, Onioshidashi Volcanic Park makes a rugged landscape set against views of Mount Asama, which spawned this lava in 1783. Popular and crowded during Japanese holidays, this location provides activities for both kids and adults. Get a close-up view of the earth's insides, and learn more about the geography of volcanoes, plants, and animals in volcanic areas at the volcano museum nearby.
