Where to stay in Tsukuba

With modern complexes serving the city's science conferences and visitors, Tsukuba has a fair share of places to stay. Hospitable, well-equipped, Western-style hotels surround the train station and major museums; choose from budget to business hotel and make the most of the convenient access to the city's science attractions. If looking for something a bit different during your Tsukuba holiday, head to one of the hot spring onsen lodgings farther north of the city, toward Mount Tsukuba.

  • Make sure to lay down on the grass around the lake and also grab some coffee on the café with view to the lake :)  more »
  • Realaxing, yon can stroll or run, take the children to play or have a membership card and participate to the many sports/events organized. But hey, it's just a normal park, nothing over the top.  more »
  • Nice green Park with a lake. Good for jogging, good for the kids, or just a relaxing walking tour. Have cake and coffee in nearby Andersen Bakery.  more »

  • Large park with a running track going through it. Bridge overlooking a large koi pond is a nice place to sit and relax.
  • Very quiet place, not to much to visit. Using car to go there could be complicated because of wasting time in the Entrance.
  • Beautiful park with lots of stuff to do for the kids. Also, it has a nice field for a picnic. The parking is not free though.
  • The best park in Tsukuba, with some structure to make sports. The loop is around 1.3 km
  • Pretty park with pond and lots of paths.
