A scenic valley known for its colorful maples and fawn lilies, Korankei offers a relaxing walk amid nature along te Tomoi River. A popular outing spot for locals, the has rows of around 4,000 maple trees, which, coupled with a photogenic vermillion bridge, turn this place into a spectacular sight in the fall. A well preserved village with thatched roof houses offers visitors traditional hospitality, with the area as a whole providing a great atmosphere for couples and family outinsg. Find the temple of the 17th-century Buddhist monk who planted the first maple trees in the valley, which takes some two hours to reach from Nagoya.   • since my first trip to Korankei last year was a failure, I came back this year. I was a bit early though as the leaves have just started to change. I came here early, took the bus at 10AM on a Monday....  more »
  • Chuma and Hina's not known so far? Are decorated with precious dolls of each home. Not ornate but is simple and cute entertainment. 混manai so far this season, you then put parking. Fall foliage season is a problem. Congestion began early in the morning on weekdays. I wonder why so crowded as now. See a tour bus once in a while stuck in traffic, but the concern becomes quite (lol) is basically a one way one lane per direction, so almost no way out. You can't not have already transported by helicopter and level. Because you know several times, there is a refuge where the challenge each year is ended up back in the middle. Incidentally challenge during the week, are abandoned in the Middle until the last 4 years in a row.
