Toyokawa Inari, Toyokawa

(3.9/5 based on 180+ reviews on the web)
A National Important Cultural Property, Toyokawa Inari represents both an important religious center and an amazing example of the country’s architecture. Founded in the mid-15th century, this temple welcomes you with large stone lanterns as you enter. Take a tour around the site and see the numerous columns in the hall, beautifully decorated with carved metal details. You’ll see ornaments shaped like fish, turtles, and, of course, traditional drgons. What’s specific about this place are the thousands of carved and drawn foxes, representing the avatar of the goddess to whom the temple is dedicated. Before you head to Toyokawa, plan trip itinerary details with our user-friendly Toyokawa trip itinerary planner, to make sure you see all that Toyokawa has to offer, including Toyokawa Inari.

  • We pay a visit to the shrine. Guests coming by car is only a few minutes from the station, but there are a lot. No thanks was a 4 day wait for street parking, we parked. Inari was ancient. They lined up, like can be donated. Bought a bringer of rake at the entrance to the home.

  • It is annual event every year to visit 二日. I think as many people this year is the same as the usual time. It took 30 minutes to the shrine. But it is so good the staying power to stay an hour or more wait was not worried.
