Observation Deck
Enjoy a 360-degree panorama of Tokyo at Sunshine 60, a 60-story, multi-purpose skyscraper, and a symbol of Ikebukuro Sunshine City shopping center. Standing 240 m (786 ft) tall, this building was once the tallest building in Asia when it opened in 1978. You can take a swift shiny elevator all the way to the top in 38 seconds, or you can enjoy browsing through this building, which was designed as a mall. Visit Mega Tokyo Pokemon Centre, Studio Ghibli outlets, or the Disney store before enjoying some crepes on the way to the top of the building, which stays open until 9 pm. • Huge place with great stores both outside and inside. This is a two whole day kinda place. A must.
  • Didn't like it at all. In my experience here, everything was confusing and crowded of people. Even the shops were the less interesting ones I've seen in Tokyo.
  • A place to go shopping and eat. They have an open area where people perform and from time to time they have high profile comedians and artist. Most of the shops are affordable prices not many expensive store.
  • Sunshine 60 was erected over the site of the destroyed Sugamo Prison, famously used to hold senior Japanese war criminals during the occupation. On December 23, 1948, seven high-ranking, convicted war criminals (including former Prime Minister Hideki Tojo) were hanged at the prison. It was also the site of the hanging of Soviet spy Richard Sorge during the war. In popular modern lore, the area is rumored to be haunted.
  • i bought pokeman here. nice shops. and big cinema with water fountain
