Teshima is an island located in the Inland Sea of Japan, between Naoshima and Shōdoshima islands, and is part of Kagawa Prefecture. It has an area of 14.5km2 and a population of about 1,000 people.Teshima is one of the locations of the Setouchi Triennale, also known as the Setouchi International Art Festival.HistoryTeshima has been inhabited for 14,000 years. The island was the subject of a scandal in which 600,000 tons of toxic waste were illegally dumped on the island. In 2000, after a 25-year legal battle, the waste was transported to Naoshima for processing. The Teshima Art Museum opened on the island in 2010.

Removed when crowds, visit during the week of August. Asked Wednesday to Toshima Museum has been closed on Tuesday was checked in advance. See however that many there during the week, though, was quite limited. Teshima Art Museum, "heartbeat" archive"and"lemon hotel"likely but Yokoo Museum closed on weekday, so if you want to see many works must be" checked, or have opened in Toshima WEB visits, we recommend. Works in the above was my goal, so lovely 10-minute half. Islanders who also shakes the greeting with a smile! is a heart with a warm island!
