(4.6/5 based on 70+ reviews on the web)
Teshima is an island located in the Inland Sea of Japan, between Naoshima and Shōdoshima islands, and is part of Kagawa Prefecture. It has an area of 14.5 km2 and a population of about 1,000 people. The island was made famous for a major industrial waste scandal. After a 25 year battle, the waste dumping was reversed in an effort to revitalize the island. The Teshima Art Museum opened there in 2010.

  • Usually laid back, would be an idyllic island. It is a feeling that many tourists flocked when it comes and the setouchi international art festival, has changed completely. That seems to be missing, but the hospitality is doing as the management side so often. I accepted, sorry. Arrived from UBE is a lunch place. Holiday and bicycle rental are all loan. Going by bus. Is going around at a frequency of 30 minutes, but stops on the way, for a number of customers lack capacity, and caused the left-off cargo.

  • Visited the setouchi international art festival being held this weekend. Buses as well as little island itself is wide and also the difference between the high and low, so not confident children and physical fitness than bike car rental is recommended. (Car rental: Scarlet 田石 oil stores a single 4-hour: 4,000 yen) and will be using the one previous flight well in advance is likely last ferry is pretty busy on weekends and peak season, so I think.
