Angel Road, Tonosho-cho

3.8
#Must See
When tides go out, the pristine clean sand of Angel Road creates a narrow path to three small islands of Shodoshima. Twice a day, when the tides are low and the sandbar emerges, visitors come to enjoy mesmerizing vistas across the ocean and lush islands. See small crabs wiggling through the interesting sand formations, and write a wish on small wooden plaque (ema), which you can hang on a branch for fulfillment. Legend has it that couples who walk along the road hand in hand will have happiness together. Check tide times before going. • In the filling pull of the tide, only at low tide sea road, cross over to the island next to the will. If you're going may be good just before low tide. You will be left out hermit crabs and starfish, fish and various sea creatures in the tide pools, so small children that just won't go away. From the peaks of the low tide had passed when I went, so I can't go to the tip of the island. And rocky, so shoe, it corresponded to what might be good. Parking is free, but the number is limited.

  • The Angel Road is the little Bean Island will be the scenery point, one to the island will be reminded of the angel of the road tide increases tide of time, but recommended that everyone early, because in addition to be able to take the picture before the tide increases, can also avoid the bustling crowd. On the other side of the beach on the hill on the view platform can not be wrong, remember to take up the high face of the Angel Road beauty.

  • Way of the mysterious sand in the filling pull of the tide appear and disappear. Having said that holding hands with loved ones from the mysterious phenomenon, and across, the wishes come true. Made from the time of low tide 3 hours back and forth, road, cross over will. From Angel road and around the water is beautiful. Tide will draw more and so go to the next island. Tide is rising and disappear there. We recommend a mysterious Road Angel road, a nice name, please go to.

  • Check tide times before going. Lots of cool geology and during the lowest point, it connects all the way to another island (used as a YMCA camp). Completely free attraction that is worth going. The water looks great but upon closer inspection, wasn't all that clean nor suitable for swimming (lots of seaweed, etc.). Spent about 1 hr walking around. Backup parking lot behind the nearby Shimamura store.
  • Crossing the road is fun when sea water started to flood some part of it. Don't forget to visit the bell spot at the entrance rock. Best pictures can be taken there. Have fun.
  • Nice place for photos but better go there when the sand road is available for walking.
  • Nice views, sea, islands. Pleasant walk. Come when the tide is low.
  • Absolute must! Easy walk from Tonosho Port.
