  • From the glass-walled shelter garden is very beautiful. Not that big, so less that spectacular. I'm happy if more, know that during the Edo period of exhibition.

  • Tokushima station as is a museum located in Tokushima Castle nearby. No more is a garden with views know hotel in the rambling, I'm exploring the garden too much. Exhibition precinct at the beginnings of medieval times, was a little disappointing.

  • This is the history museum was built in Tokushima Castle Palace style. Exhibited an elaborate reconstruction of Tokushima Castle and existence of the oldest "Wasen" was pretty impressive.

  • It is a steep climb without support for wheelchairs. The view on the top is limited by trees and there isn't a castle, but an empty platform. No English explanation if you're looking for it. Toilets are downstairs. Try climbing from the west and descending to the east. The stones are somewhat different. The park below it is definitely worth a visit.
  • Beginning of Tokushima Castle is South North morning period and Muromachi shogunate kanrei Hosokawa asked me, in the Castle built in Ogi called origin, called the Wei fortress even if Wei Tsu, Chinese Wei water. On the Wei fortress at the foot of the Terashima Castle existed. Associate Professor rivers Shikoku expedition was done, which merited the era hachisuka clan, Awa country is given the Wei mountain Castle and at the foot of Terashima, stemming from the Yoshino River, new river, Terashima River a natural moat and a large Castle was built. Still is special "Awa aoshi" chlorite schist and Red epidote schist used abundantly. In the summer siege of Osaka, the hachisuka clan work is evaluated and the Awaji countries were given. Sandwiched atop Castle is yamashiro, ninomaru East West, West further West co-existed. Tower originally in the Castle near the border of West ninomaru, had bow turret after the 2nd floor story frontier and castles of the period there were. Early castles were dismantled for any reason, East ninomaru seems built Tower 3F, 3-tier. Fortress features like in emergencies, such as confinement to the control room, look after the house constructed, turret armour, bow turret and gun turret was equipped with. Called shiroyama primeval forest in the hard quandong tree still today almost untouched in the crowd. Also in the foothills East of Seongsan Shell Mound is open your mouth. Around Palace at the foot of the Castle South TSUKIMI-Yagura, Black Gate, drum tower and were connected by walls or ruins. There was 鷲之門 to its South. Also it seems had produced a landscape of unique stone wall along the old Terashima River said stone tongue protrusion, called a bent fence would. Buildings such as Tower except for 鷲之門 after the Meiji Restoration and the tower and part of the stone wall has been removed. Terashima River leaves the part as a conduit, reclaimed railway line and Tokushima station was established. 鷲之門 and burned down after World War II, joined the March was restored. Today, Castle scenic table Palace Gardens, and the palace-style city Tokushima Castle Museum.

  • The original structure seems to rare types never compared to the ruins of that name, is not luxurious. Tokushima station that miracle is excellent for all ages, people thought a valuable place to spend. Running and walking are also good night watch too many runners and unfortunately has become my home for birds at night scent comes to mind.

  • Cool green schist with rough stone walls. Refill Maru on the stone wall remain well. Attached to the castle garden and 6 en and koraku-en is a famous think table Palace grounds here in Japan. A hearty stone is worth looking at and.

Where to stay in Tokushima

Tokushima provides its guests with a more than ample selection of places to stay, from friendly budget hostels to upmarket, Western-style high-rise establishments. Hotels concentrate around the capital's central park and Shinmachi River tributaries, popular due to the location's convenient proximity to all major Tokushima attractions and good rail transport links. If you're looking to lay your head in a more traditional setting, explore a handful of Japanese ryokans a few blocks south of the park. When visiting in August, book early to avoid disappointment due to the large volume of visitors to Tokushima's dance festival.
