  • I was walking from JR Tokushima station, arrived about 15 minutes straight. Purchase a Museum, demonstration and cable car ticket (¥ 1,620) at 1st floor. First of all, to the Museum's third floor. Small, so carefully read article, not ends seen in about 10 minutes. Then I second floor Hall. Seating is unreserved. It is a small Hall bench so you don't back feels the warmth of wood. Also see dancing a powerful front row or Buri may well look quiet in the last row is a silhouette of the former 見切remasu. Demonstrations during the photo shoot was OK. Coupled length it's blurry in MC, and rather is a vital point. Initial-depicted as a introduction, introduction to great fanfare, Guy dancing, introduction to the difference between the woman's dance, everyone dance with history up to modern dance practice and dance! Such as content, it was about 40 minutes. Way in all of the last dance is devoted to see the fool is OK. I think if the time is right, go, look good dance.

  • Museum and the Awa Odori, seeking a ticket (800 yen), Awa museum displays the history of the dance (2nd floor) in Awa Odori dance had to wait until the start. Dance of the early order was like and as was war in the current. Woman dancing with a man after the introduction of the basics of dance, musical instruments unveiled some dance. Unique rhythm for dance had the power. Finally the audience invited to the stage, dancing was. Prize was awarded to three danced better.

  • It was disappointing performances from week 4 was sparse audience, special dance performances lacking in the excitement of the audience. Awa Odori-ren of windy Awa dance during the day. Continuous length's of fun Chair, women's hands look so dynamic, much closer aligned with the dance with the men. I was impressed because I saw for the first time. Seeking participation from the audience at the end, dancing the hand towel in three.

  • If you're in Tokushima, and you missed out on the Awa Odori Festival, you can always see some Awa dancing here! You get to see and learn different varieties of awa dancing, and at the end you get the chance to learn some basic moves, while everyone dances together in a circle. Great for those looking for unique Japanese experiences, is reasonably priced, and can be combined for discounts with the ropeway and/or museum.
  • It was an amazing cultural experience to see the Awa-Odori Japanese dance group, with the cutest little kids, and also teens, young ladies and old gentlemen all dancing in unique styles along with live traditional music. Foreign visitors are encouraged to jump up and have a quick workshop on how to do the dance, and then all the dancers join in and everyone from the crowd is invited to join, followed by a final performance.
  • Good place to buy Tokushima souvenirs
  • no free parking if you just goes and watch the dancing show. You can get one hour free parking only if you buy 2000 yen from the store.
  • What is possibly cooler than Awa Odori? It's dancing in the streets, Japanese style!
