Lake Kussharo, Teshikaga-cho

Categories: Waterfalls, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
4.1/5 based on 220 reviews on the web
Go fishing, hiking, kayaking, and cycling around Lake Kussharo, Japan's largest caldera lake that freezes over completely in the winter. Soak away your worries in an outdoor hot spring bath and walk over hot sands along the lakeshore. You can also visit Wakoto Peninsula if you wish to see active sulfurous vents or enjoy a hike through the forest. Acidic water of the lake supports only a few species here, such as a rare form of cicada and rainbow trout. Put Lake Kussharo on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Teshikaga-cho trip itinerary builder.

  • Has been brought to the friends. Gushing Hot Springs Campground where difference is impressed. And close to the little mass kids were swimming a lot. Is not snowing when I visited, so the next time the winter smelt would want to go fishing.

  • 沙湯體驗 可以很親近湖水 非常適合有時間慢慢旅遊的旅者 主要只有兩家賣店與臨近的民宿 秋季明顯的淡季人群稀少
  • We walked here from Genya youth guesthouse and visited kotan onsen and museam. Both very cool. Highly recommend it. Chilled out lake. Bring snacks. Public toilets at kotan.
