Sanrio Puroland, Tama

3.4
Treat the kids with a visit to Sanrio Puroland, a theme park showcasing some of the country's most popular children's characters, including Hello Kitty. Opened in 1990, the theme park entertains younger children, with the whole indoor facility decked out in a colorful (primarily pink) cartoon theme, and with costumed characters around every corner. Take a tour of Kitty's house to meet her family, and let the kids take a trip on one of the gentle rides. Three live performance stages host immersive plays with plenty of audience interaction. • Full attraction is inferior compared with TDL and U Studio is perfect regardless of weather conditions, immersed in the anime world! I wish I could. Is a little cheaper tickets include transportation and good. Became's flower bed just now finished first was a beautiful flower garden around the building. Was running the hotel facilities or the accumulated dust in the corner dried up the water of the pond, stops dust dumps, difficult circumstances would be marvelous. I'm just working people was impressed.

  • Visit the weekend on Sunday. And get a discount voucher, admission was 1000 yen for adults. A good clean with no delays it was crowded, but from the early afternoon was opening just attractions one hour waiting time. I'd better enjoy the show, when many people would ride all rides opened shortly after.

  • This is the 2nd time I came to Sario Puroland. The last trip was with my elder daughter about 10yrs back. This trip brought the younger daughter to let her have the same experience as her elder sister...  more »

  • A must for any Hello Kitty enthusiast or just a fan of all things cute (可愛い). The price for admission is suprising low, considering how much hello kitty items cost back in America. Sanrio Puroland is more than just a store. They have buffets, cafe, parlor, parades, shows, rides, meet and greets etc. You could literally spend all day here. If your visiting Japan or are in the Tokyo area you should make the trip. It is well worth it. About 1hr away from the heart Tokyo
  • Excellent place for hello kitty fans and family! It's end of the year and the place is really crowded. If one comes during off festive season it will be a lot less crowded. Good theme and this year is cinnamon roll! As for food I will recommend the buffet as its price is almost equivalent to a single character dish. This year main character features gutetama too! A whole 2 storey hall for its display. Definitely a good visit!
  • The kids enjoyed the boat ride most of all... Well, other than the major shopping we did in the gift shop. Trying to eat there though was a nightmare. Never a place to sit and the wait time was well over 45 minutes just to order. Best bet is to go eat at one of the many restaurants walking up to the building.
  • Most of the staff cant speak English. We are foreigners coming to Japan and we thought it would be nice to visit the so called "Hello Kitty World" with two kids. The tax refund was minimum ¥5000, and so we were planning to spend it on some souvenirs. We bought a backpack from the Hello Kitty section of the place, spending ¥3500 already. Then my daughter bought a key ring and some tape. Then I told her that she should buy another key ring, because she was lacking about ¥100. Not only did they refuse to refund, but rudely went to serve other customers while we were still talking to them. She then exchanged the tape for some socks, which she later on found out that were still not enough, so she tried to exchange them for something else, and they refused. After some dilly dally with a translator, they finally allowed us to exchange the socks. Very dissapointed in the service and attitude towards tourists, and would not recommend it to people who can't speak Japanese.
  • Perfect for Sanrio fans, but has plenty to offer young children even if not. The main 'Miracle Heart Light' show is fantastic and has both of my daughters delighted throughout. The are a few low level rides too (I personally enjoyed the boat ride and Melodrive the most). The other shows are worth a visit if you're there for the whole day. There are a few different food options, from character themed rice dishes, to more standard Japanese family restaurant food options.
