Hoshisuna Beach, Taketomicho Iriomote-jima

(3.4/5 based on 240+ reviews on the web)
Famous for its sands made of billions of tiny dead starfish, Hoshisuna Beach features a number of reefs and curious offshore rock formations covered with greener. Forming a half-closed bay with a micro climate, the beach offers good swimming and snorkeling opportunities. You can walk in the shallows and puddles during low tide, or rent snorkeling equipment at a facility right across the beach and wait for high tide. Huge differences in tide leave large pools filled with vivid marine life. You can dine in a nice restaurant nearby and the beach, some 10-15 minutes by car from Uehara, has toilet facilities. • It is a beach located in Iriomote Island, so was quite expecting is tourist destination of the tour. There is a large parking lot is unsure what the entrance to the beach. Sandy Beach is not so widely, interspersed with rocks and sand. I think that the coast does not have a pretentious name fun is very suitable.

  • It is presumably will soon star sand from the parking lot was difficult. Local guide got the sand stuck in the Palm of your hand with Palm pressing down gently in the sand is the sand stars. It is a touching moment. Far away from the seaside said however there. Wave is likely distort the star-shaped.

  • They took us on a nature tour as liked, personally and went again. Were accommodated at the nirakanai rented a bike. You'll star in Taketomi Island than the sand star sand in a less tourists to Taketomi island. Rock is located about 20 meters of shallow and there is peace of mind. Because fish is more seen in the coral to snorkel in the shallow water.
