  • This is a typical Takayama, historical and empty House. A nice visit to illustrate the art of living Japanese. There are explanations in English.

  • The neighborhood reminds Gion in Kyoto same types of House but here not Geishas. However most of the buildings can be visited or are shops.

  • thought we'd be through it in fifteen minutes but ended up spending an hour and a half.Fascinating , beautiful, enlightening!

  • You must really be into abstract Japanese writing and not expect large numbers of paintings to visit this house. The Bach playing in the background may give it the artsy touch - but the place lacks atmosphere. Even the smells ate wrong, there's something unpleasant lingering in the air. Much rather go next door to the Kusakabe Mingeikan folk museum for the same feeling (and a tea).
  • Worth visiting. Great surprise. Good information. A family house to understand Japanese interior architecture.
  • Not much to see here and no explanations in English.
  • Muito bonito, agradável e muitas lojas com produtos típicos, principalmente saquê.
  • 👉UNA of the houses betray Takayama of one of their major families, in particular of a um lender era and this era, as seen in the enormous ball of branches cedar, a family with a distillery. 👉Hoy on day Museum, in a very quiet area of the city. The North beside the shrines, is an ideal area for a walk, without the flood of tourists that we find through the main streets of takayama
