Lying at the foot of a volcanic mountain, Lake Haruna offers a 6 km (3 mi) shore length which makes a popular destination for campers and cyclists. Lake management also offers boat rides, horseback riding, skating, and ice fishing for a local specialty fish dish, wakasagi. Frequently visited by locals, the caldera lake offers prime scenery for restaurant goers and also has many shops available.
