Haruna Shrine, Takasaki

(4.7/5 based on 190+ reviews on the web)
Step back into the distant past and visit the ancient Haruna Shrine, built in the sixth century. Sitting about halfway up Mt. Hurana, one of the three mountains of Jomo, the shrine is dedicated to the gods of fire, water, and agriculture. Its main gateway slowly reveals itself as you make your way up hill, gaining an ever-expanding view over the horizon. The gate's east-west orientation results in the sun providing an amazing effect by either shining through it from behind, or by illuminating the structure’s face. Follow paved and dirt paths throughout the shrine to come across various cultural and religious icons. Make Haruna Shrine a centerpiece of your Takasaki vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Takasaki itinerary builder.

  • The Haruna shrine was snow. It is not an April Fool's day. Notice of normal tires. I suspect is down to ikaho.

  • Visit the spring equinox. Combination of souvenir shops, some parking is located near the entrance, but (slow down time would normally, should use the souvenir shop, the store was closed because parked free of charge as a result). Torii and gates as viewed from the shrine about 15 minutes is better. Track, though there is some snow had frozen waterfalls, walking no snow, and was safe. There are some stairs in the middle. What feeling is not very hard, too, to climb. And the slow down in front of the main gate is close. That note this when closing time was 17. Building luxurious splendour only, not clash with the surrounding rock was pretty impressive.

  • Calm and beautiful place especially during Autumn
  • As gate the sanctuary until distance & gradient is pretty. And integrated very much ohsugi, buildings and background of, which is impressive. BI-Longmen also looked up from the bottom and behind boulders are carved like appearance. Seeing excellent sculptures of dragons carved on the gate. With the snow with no atmosphere can vary quite a bit.

  • Great views but is famous as a spot. Winter landscape is fantastic by the way, the cold but ٩ (-˙ ▿ ˙-), women have deep God's edge, so prayers such as marriage, pregnancy, and childbirth are also good. ◡with window is reduced too, I worship at the azalea. Just because of steep slopes, requires attention to pregnant women and older people may be. Even in midsummer, thanks to the trees we can climb relatively cool. In the Middle [bun is eaten by a bridge and wishes come true: it is fun to try, because they are. I [float, soak in the sacred Fortune] or [suikinkutsu], is one of the fun to come here.

  • This place is wonderful! I is not quite so far in the distance. Inside of me is not the strongest. From Tokyo have always stayed and visited at least twice. The atmosphere was exceptional. It is art. Haruna waters in his right hand, left hand straight dope with green trees, and large rocks. In such a beautiful waterfall. This is a shrine. Such a loss for words and here is an absolute God is! The conviction said. 惚remasu.

  • Matsri is clay mountain life and fire of spirit life. Made to stick is a main shrine behind the boulders. It seems she like dolls with ancient people felt this massive rock and God's yodai, consists of two large rock boulders. At the bottom of the rocks and caves, the cave in kamukura. Pot has said there's nanaehama iron door to the cave, the cave seems Haji is enshrined as an object of worship.
