Where to stay in Takamatsu

The second most populous city in Shikoku and home to a major port, Takamatsu has a range of accommodations to cater to various needs and budgets. Cheap business hotels with saunas can be found around the train station and Ritsurin Garden, while luxurious modern hotels sit near the Sun Port area north of the garden. Guesthouses are scattered around the downtown area. The business focus of Takamatsu has led to an ever-increasing number of boutique hotels.

  • I go to Yakuriji every time I'm in the area. I like to climb the mountain from the back road. As you go up the hill, temperature drops and air changes. Feels pretty good!  more »
  • Pretty much unknown from tourists, Yakuri-ji is one of those great small temples hidden in nature and in the mountains. A must-see in Takamatsu.  more »
  • Yuki 8 chestnut Temple and renamed it not chestnut bud I am planted to test whether or not a true desire to learn mountain climbing Buddhist before anything 8 Temple and was called to study Tang Kobo Daishi 8 chestnut to return safely home, and once again I was so really I wonder? And however was silence or gutted by hahi at the revived the Takamatsu domain Matsudaira yorishige, 8 eyes 8 chestnut mountain, despite the tough pilgrimage pilgrimage visited by many followers and solemn temples
