  • I went here with my friends on an off-season trip, meaning that all the art exhibitions were closed. That did not stop us enjoying this lovely place in the slightest! We rented bicycles (go electric),...  more »
  • Is an island called onigashima, closest to Takamatsu port. You can go by ferry. Main cave called the demon theme park and the devil works and doll, walk inside the cave is very interesting. Ceiling packed with dolls and in the middle of chaos is going to be, you try and enjoy. Harbour bus goes to the cave entrance, but in a pretty, pretty retro bus is recommended also.

  • With the ferry, arriving here from Takamatsu in 20 minutes. There is a beach, only seasonal restaurants (in case of doubt even bring). Hiking trails circle and cross the island, on which you're soon completely alone with various birds. Very relaxing half-day excursion.

  • This island houses a mountain that is rather high. Do NOT rent a bicycle; you cannot ride it up to the top, you may be able to drag it up and then ride it on your way down, but the scenery is great so you might as well enjoy your walk if you are a tourist. Alternatively you could get a motorcycle if you come here from time to time. This is the famous site of the Momotaro legend of Japan and on the top there is the cave of the Oni. Not exactly an attraction but might help you enjoy the island.
  • Amazing times: ★ ★ ★ insta sheen level: ★ ★ access goodness: ★ Island ★ ★ [General] setouchi international art festival became famous one. 20 minutes from Takamatsu port by ship. Works of art are scattered on the island, enjoy 10 minutes in a day. [Note: check ferry times and works of art appreciation and basic information required
