Shinobazu Pond, Taito
(3.6/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
Enjoy a boat ride and see more than 20 species of lotuses in Shinobazu Pond, a natural pond with a circumference of 2 km (1.4 mi). Having changed form several times through the ages, today the pond features three distinct areas, each with a specific feature. At Lotus Pond, snap pictures of the thick covering of peaceful plants covering the surface. Rent a rowboat or swan boat for a spin around Boat Pond. Cormorant Pond, which borders a zoo, is a habitat for many water birds, such as tufted ducks, pochards, and northern pintails. Take a walk over the bridge and visit the island with a temple that lies at the center of the lake. • Shinobazu Pond have seen countless long. But I never went to the Benten Hall have to Nakashima. Only so far, watching from afar. Then fold yesterday I went to Ueno to Benten Hall stopped. It is here that right now foreign tourists very often. Ueno is no longer a global tourist destination would say.

  • Shinobazu Pond is on one side of Lotus leaves and flowers in bloom, it is overwhelming. Addition of Tokyo really. As an aside, kochikame Ryo-San's reminiscences, Shinobazu Pond is (laughs)

  • Too famous shinobazuno-IKE pond is especially great for views different in every season and welcoming. Never summer Lotus at the cherry blossoms in spring are nice, the closure is crowded, but worth a look is settled down and, if possible, still want to see sights. Benten Hall and also want to suggest also looking down from the mountain.

  • Shinobazu pond or 不忍池 Shinobazu no Ike is a natural body of water and is part of Ueno park. It has a peaceful, tranquil atmosphere except during Cherry blossom season where it is full of parties and eating stalls.
  • The pond itself is divided into two smaller parts. The smaller one allows for swan boat riding, while the bigger one is covered in lily pads, which creats a really great scenery together with the shrine and the skyscrapers. However, from autumn till spring it is rather less exciting.
  • Very beautiful and serene lily pad pond. If you look closely there are koi fish in the pond. There is also a temple/shrine in the middle of the pond. Nice place for a stroll or run.
  • Nice lake. You can ride boat here. It was crowded last time i went here. Because it is spring and hanami season.
  • On a nice day, the sun was warm and the wind was comfortable. It's quite comfortable to sit next to the pond and enjoy the sun and wind.
