4.3/5 based on 300+ reviews on the web
Find the center of the retail area that surrounds the skyscraper at Tokyo Skytree, a complex of restaurants and offices. Opened in 2012, the tower's mirrored glass facade neatly complements the severe metallic look of the broadcasting tower that dominates the area. The focal point of a wider commercial and business center at the foot of the skyscraper, the tower offers a number of fine dining and fast food restaurants catering to a range of tastes, including traditional Japanese cuisine, and international chains. • Great lookout spot for views of Tokyo from all sides. Handy hint is there an express queue for international travelers inside which means you can go up normally quite quickly, for us inside 20 mins. T...  read more »

  • One of the place you have to visit when you are in Tokyo. This place is like Tokyo Tower but offers better view of Tokyo. You can sit and enjoy the whole Tokyo city view while drinking your Starbucks Coffee. Be warned that to buy the ticket there is a queue for about 1 to 2 hours just for booking a time to buy the ticket. After the time is set for example 2pm, you have to que for another 1 or 2 hours to buy the actual ticket. And then another 30 - 50minutes to actually go to the lifts and go up. So be prepare to waste almost the whole day to go to the top of Tokyo Skytree. Well, is it worth the wait? Absolutely!
  • Fantastic views from these gigantic tower, very well organised and polite. Display available in tower showing the city at a fast rate and looks spectacular. I really recommend coming here. English leaflet guides are available
  • The view can be extremely good if the weather is good...., but if not, you can sort if make the outlines of Skyscrapers in Shinjuku and that's pretty much it. There is a special fast-pass option for foreign visitors located near the west entrance. In order to be able to obtain the fast-pass you'll need a form of ID the can prove that you're from abroad. Although it is slightly more expensive than the regular pass (about +¥700/person) it is definitely worth it during the Japanese holidays, as it can potentially save you from 2-3 hours wait, in the worst cases.
  • Much better experience than Tokyo Tower, sadly. The height makes a difference. Pair that with the ease of accessing this place, and the number of amenities like shopping and entertainment, and this tower is the one to visit. Went on a busy day, with far more people than Tokyo Tower had, but it still felt less crowded here.
  • Was good. What you expect from such a high observation deck. I'd recommend one of the cities many free look outs. Very long lines and very expensive.
