  • It is passing along the river the water bus station. Waiting a respectable distant Kokugikan and road. If you wait here when the weather is particularly bad, reduce the body burden (hot, cold, rain).

  • We were at Ryogoku to see the stadium of sumo wrestlers was closed and we were able to visit only the small shop, so we decided to do the cruise on the Sumida River since the departure of the ferry is just opposite the stadium of sumo. Obviously this isn't the last stop which is Asakusa, but still goes there and then come back and makes several stops until Odaiba Tokyo passing under most beautiful bridges up to Rainbow Bridge. We took the full circle with return to Ryogoku and it took us about two hours from 12.00 to 14.00, but you can also just get to Odaiba and get off there or somewhere else, but I recommend to make it complete, even down to Odaiba so you can see everything and get back then from here by metro with the nearby Tokyo Teleport station. We made it as told by day, but definitely with the illuminated bridges at night must be amazing, we paid with roundtrip 2160 yen (about 18 euros) per head one child with each adult is free but we have 3 one paid a small fee though. I think it is useless to take those beloved with lunch or dinner because on the inside would see much much less well and with the pane are not even photos. So you can travel also in where there is a guide (Japanese only though) explaining mic points where you go, or out the back where is beautiful and sometimes climb on the roof to take some pictures from above. On the way there was little people, but unfortunately in Odaiba surged worldwide. The staff are delightful they just said that since the comment was only in Japanese, we could have asked for that we would be given their explanations in English. The bathroom is spacious and clean and there is a vending machine for drinks. It is very nice and relaxing as a day trip to my children enjoyed like crazy, I recommend it to anyone who has kids absolutely.

Where to stay in Tokyo

Tokyo abounds with excellent places to stay, from luxury affairs to humble budget-friendly lodgings. Its glittering skyscrapers house numerous international four- and five-star hotels, both in the populous cultural hotspots of Shinjuku and in the business centers of Akasaka and Shinbashi. Meanwhile, hostels catering to the shoestring traveler lie scattered throughout the city. For a memorable, distinctly Japanese experience, seek out a ryokan, a traditional bed and breakfast with tatami floor mats and sliding screen doors.
