Where to stay in Tokyo

Tokyo abounds with excellent places to stay, from luxury affairs to humble budget-friendly lodgings. Its glittering skyscrapers house numerous international four- and five-star hotels, both in the populous cultural hotspots of Shinjuku and in the business centers of Akasaka and Shinbashi. Meanwhile, hostels catering to the shoestring traveler lie scattered throughout the city. For a memorable, distinctly Japanese experience, seek out a ryokan, a traditional bed and breakfast with tatami floor mats and sliding screen doors.

  • The museum is small, but cheap (100 yens!) and intertaining, even if aren't a smoker. A good place if you're in lack of inspiration what to visit.
  • Really interesting museum if you're interested into the salt making process
  • Way more info and history than you'd expect for ¥100. Some soap in the toilet would just be perfect so you get 4.98 stars only!! Add a spittoon for my tobaccy while ya at it

  • The fuller exhibit, a bit far from the train station is less than 10 minutes. Since in Shibuya, special exhibitions are always nice. Exhibitions can be enjoyed thoroughly. It is unbelievable and 100 yen. Space is brought in, but the Café is eaten.
