The Tower of the Sun, Suita

4.3
Providing a memorable backdrop for a few snapshots of the city, The Tower of the Sun sits within a park created for the Expo '70, the first World's Fair ever held in Asia. The statue is around 65 m (213 ft) tall, with both of its arms 25 m (82 ft) long. The sun wears three faces in this sculpture--a golden mask on top, a black one on the back, and a red on the front. For travelers who use our online itinerary creator, Suita holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the The Tower of the Sun and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • I'm over nearly 50 years. You can see the Okamoto Taro's design was built as a tower of the Japan National Expo of major towers, highways, etc. You could see from the Osaka Monorail Banpaku Koen station now impact is. Is it pushed its design closely.

  • When you go, and depending on the time frame of the 3D mapping event is underway in the Interior, fun. Be nice to cherry blossom viewing.

  • A fantastically bizarre structure and an important symbol of Osaka. Located next to expo city and in the expo park, there's loads to do. The view from the Ferris wheel is also stunning. Looking forward to when it will be open for viewing from the inside.
  • This is a pretty cool place to visit even though it is a little dated now. Make sure you walk completely around it to see everything.
  • Wonderful park, I come here as often as I can. Its huge and has so many different aspects you can keep coming and discover something new with every visit. You also have the treat of watching each new season unfold. They really work hard to display the flowers and plants of different times of the year. Easy to park and (relatively) easy to come by train. If you are in Kansai, its worth the trip.
  • Cite tower / monument that symbolizes Banpaku in Osaka !
  • Beautiful park with amazing art and museums, it's a bit difficult to get here but if you can make the trip I highly recommend it!
